Free Music: Haezer, Yesterday's Pupil and Captain Stu

Everybody loves free shit. Everybody loves awesome South African music. And if they don't, they bloody well should.

If you love free shit, awesome South African music and have a computer and internet connection at your disposal (which you do unless you are reading this through the power of your mind, in which case download the music straight to your brain), then there are three local acts who have free releases just for you.

Yesterday's Pupil is releasing his entire album Singularity completely mahala. He's doing the Robyn thing and releasing it in parts with two month intervals between each of them. Part 1 contains two singles as well as album art, liner notes and artist notes. It does not include the Too Tired To Disco music video but you should download that too because it features a cute robot. Download Singularity here and the Too Tired To Disco video here.

Haezer's new EP is named after a cyclone, which should give you an idea of what to expect. Yasi consists of two banging dance tracks, the titular Yasi and Joey Bloom. There is no video as far as I can see. I recommend making your own by filming yourself on your cellphone camera dancing furiously in front of the mirror. Download the EP here.

Captain Stu's EP of free music is imaginatively titled the Free Music EP. There are five funky songs on the EP, including the addictive ode to conjoined sisters, Siamese Twin. They've released videos for Siamese Twin and The Day, which you can watch here. The album can be found here as well as a very dodgy pic of man-gerie.
